November 5 - 7, 2006
The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel
Dana Point, CA
Wireless Influencers 2006 was an exclusive, invitation only, senior executive conference for the wireless and mobile ecosystem globally. The conference was held November 5 - 7, 2006 at The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel in Dana Point, California. For two and a half days, chief business and technology leaders-across communications, media, private equity and venture capital, and information technology disciplineschallenged current assumptions and formulated new insights, studied new services and technologies, built new relationships and partnerships, and identified new markets and customers.
The conference primarily focused on the global carrier, consumer, and enterprise markets and included C-level executives from Europe, Asia, North America, and Latin America. A broad set of industry sectors were represented at Wireless Influencers 2006:
- Carrier (including wireless, wireline, and cable)
- Media and entertainment (including information, music, video, and game)
- Internet (including content, communication, community, and commerce)
- Large and small enterprise (across industries such as education, retail, and healthcare)
- Infrastructure (including enterprise, carrier, and consumer)
- Device (including handset, laptop, and consumer electronics)
- Semiconductor (including WWAN, WMAN, WLAN, and WPAN)
- Venture capital and private equity
- Trade association
Importantly, Wireless Influencers 2006 provided a closed-door, private forum where senior executives were able to interact and network freely, without the burden of having their conversations recorded, reported, or analyzed. As such, identical to Wireless Influencers 2005, members of the press, public equity analysts, and market research analysts were not invited to attend Wireless Influencers 2006.
