Eric Risley is the Head of Investment Banking at Rutberg & Company guiding the firm's investment banking strategy and execution.

Mr. Risley brings nearly 20 years of investment banking experience to the firm. Previously, Mr. Risley built the Software Corporate and Investment Banking Group at Banc of America Securities into one of the leading practices on Wall Street.

Prior to being recruited to Banc of America Securities, Mr. Risley was Head of Software Investment Banking at CIBC World Markets. Mr. Risley also co-founded the West Coast Technology Investment Banking practice and the Internet Investment Banking Group and founded and ran the Software Investment Banking Group at Oppenheimer & Co. Most recently, Mr. Risley was a Venture Partner with GKM and Osprey Ventures.

Mr. Risley has worked with a broad spectrum of clients including major vendors such as CA, BEA, Oracle and Veritas on financing mandates; public financings for fast growing vendors such as Quest Software, Peregrine Systems, NEON Systems and Bindview Development; and private financings and sellside M&A advisory for young venture capital financed companies such as Entercept Security Systems, Securant and Metacode.

Mr. Risley earned a B.S. in Business Administration, Finance Emphasis from San Diego State University.
